1 Bottle Hard Apple Cider (or Beer of your choice)
1 Crisp Apple, cored and chopped (no need to peel)
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
8 Tbsp (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
3 Tbsp honey
1/8 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt
Prepare the Beer Bread:
Put the contents of the Beer Bread mix in a medium bowl. Add the apples and toss. Pour beer in all at once and using a spatula, stir until combined. Place half the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half the sugar/cinnamon mixture (included) on top. Place the rest of the batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture. Gently swirl the batter and then pour the melted butter on top.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely. Serve with Honey Butter.
Beat the very soft room temperature (not melted) butter with honey, cinnamon and salt until combined.
Makes 10-12 servings.
